If ever there was a time...

If there was ever a time to exercise, it is during pregnancy and if there was ever a time to make sure you are 'in the know' as a trainer, it is when you are working with women who are, may become or have been pregnant. Our pre and postpartum training certification offers this.
As a health and fitness professional you want to be the in-demand expert women trust to help them work their body in ways that can help them stay strong in pregnancy, prepare them for birth, and heal common postpartum core challenges like incontinence, prolapse and diastasis recti.

If you train women...

The majority of women have been or will become pregnant at some point in their life and many women are waiting until they are in their 40's to start a family. Some women are in perimenopause while also becoming pregnant.
You need to know the effects of pregnancy and birth on the body and how to train your client for what is arguably the most challenging event they will ever endure.

You need...

A better understanding of what Diastasis Recti and pelvic floor dysfunction are. These are perhaps the two most important aspects of training women yet they are the most neglected topics in prenatal education and fitness.
Knowledge about how to assess within your scope and what movement practices help guide women to better core health and fitness in pregnancy and beyond is key! You play a vital role in fostering core and pelvic health for life!

It's Time to Become a Prenatal & Postnatal AND Core Confidence Specialist!

Our Core Confidence Specialist Certification was our first and we have been changing the way people train women since 2009 but...we were always being asked if the course was a pre/postnatal cert and when we said no, people then asked 'why don't you have one'? Well now we do.
In 2018 we published a book called Pregnancy Fitness through Human Kinetics and we immediately recognized that it was time. Time to create a course that was SO needed. Time to fill the void that existed in prenatal and postpartum training certifications.

"Thank you Kim, I have learned so much in this course!..."

"I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in Pilates, and my motivation for taking the Specialist training was to gain the knowledge to safely modify exercises for my pre and postnatal clients. Now, I wonder where this will take me! I am deeply appreciative of the knowledge, the text book and the ongoing access to the videos."

- Emily Mather

After completing the Prenatal & Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification you will get 2 badges for your site - the Core Confidence Specialist AND the Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist.
It's like two certs in one!
You will learn the essentials for training women in pregnancy to ensure they remain strong and pain free for the full nine months and can birth with strength and confidence.
You will also learn how to prepare pregnant women for recovery and ensure they know the essential moves to promote healing and core restoration.
Finally, because we have included everything from the Core Confidence Specialist course you will have a full library of exercises that you can use with your female clients for life. Exercises that will promote a functional pelvic floor, a strong and sexy midsection and all without the common challenges women think are normal after having a baby.
In our opinion, anyone training women should take this course. You should know how pregnancy and birth changes the body and you never know when one of your clients will become pregnant.

"...This training has really enhanced my offerings..."

"As a Prenatal Yoga Instructor (RPYT) this training has really enhanced my offerings. In 2014 I became a Bellies Inc. Core Confidence trainer and shortly afterward I birthed my daughter. From this personal experience I fully understood the importance of core restoration prior to resuming regular exercise (or in my case, a more strenuous Yoga practice) and I also recognized the lack of information and resources for women in regards to core and pelvic wellness during pregnancy and postpartum. I jumped at the chance to upgrade to the Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification program when it launched a few years ago. I completed the modules and integrated the teachings into Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga programs in my community with great success. Moms desperately wanted to find classes that focussed on their core and pelvic health and I received good feedback in regards to this specifically when comparing the classes to other Pre/Postnatal/Mom and Baby Yoga classes out there. Now a few weeks postpartum with my second child, I have logged back in to find a lot of new material and I have learned even more. Executing what I have learned in my personal practice, I know that I’m recovering even faster this time around and feel even more confident in my body, my appearance, my overall self. I am excited to begin building an online program specifically for Prenatal Yoga and this training will certainly be a valuable skillset to my Pre/Postnatal Yoga training. Thank you so much Kim for your hard work and dedication to health and fitness professionals and women everywhere."

"I wish I had known all of this information before when I was pregnant. I am so happy that this course exists so I can help spread the word! I have done a few courses on line and found this one to be especially easy to digest. It's all I can talk about with my clients, my friends and my family. Thank you for making this course easily available. I highly recommend it to all trainers."

I highly recommend this course!

"I completed this course today and it was just what I needed to help develop better treatment plans for my clients. I am a pelvic floor physiotherapist working with women during pregnancy, postpartum and into menopause. I felt that I had a good understanding of the anatomy and function of the core but I struggled with how to assess with movement and how to progress exercises appropriately. This course has really helped me to put programs together more effectively. I started to implement some of the exercises right away and I am seeing results in my clients. I love the videos that are part of the lessons, particularly the anatomy overview. I highly recommend this course and I look forward to doing more in the very near future!"

"...This course is fantastic..."

"Hi, this course is fantastic. Such a great level of detail, in a digestible format. Great resources. Wonderful feedback when asking questions / comments (I did this online) Really well created and the order of lessons was great in terms of things following on from one another. Will highly recommend to anyone who will listen to me! I will be going over all of the information I'm sure many many times so its great to have access once the course is finished. Very pleased I did this. Its helped me on a personal and professional level. I am looking forward to what comes next and will be looking to the next levels :)"

"...I highly recommend it to all professionals."

"As an Athletic Therapist and Trainer, I have been rehabing clients for years with many of the same exercises and techniques. However, this course has taught me so much more about pregnancy and the recovering body that I didn't know. I am very appreciative of all of the research that has gone into this course. It is so nice to finally see a course on core strengthening that is focused on learning how to fire your core, and not just on the next greatest exercise. This course is based on scientific evidence, and I would recommend it for all trainers and therapists. Every person needs to learn to fire their core properly, and learn the basics of alignment and stability. I highly recommend it to all professionals."
